Swiss Chalet in Kentville

One of the best Swiss Chalet experiences I have had in a while. Food and service were both great.

Food is always good. It was a busy Fathers Day for staff. One complaint - it is not immediately obvious that you have to pick up your Swiss Chalet order next door at Harvey's. However, it all worked out and it was an appreciated Father's Day meal.

Due to covid-19, we ordered from inside, in lineup, keeping to the rules and regulations. Ordered and received our food, then went on our merry way. When sat down to eat, they had forgotten to hand out pop, ordered parm fries, received regular fries, ordered gravy, received dipping sauce. Was really looking forward to a normal meal, during these troubled times. But ended up being very unsatisfied. Especially when paying almost $50.

Wow the chicken and the fries, nice place to eat, staff work hard to give you good service.Easy in easy out

I would like to say it is a great place to eat but you have to have be served. We waited for our server to take our order but she decided to take people that came in after us never acknowledged us never came to see if we wanted a drink

You know things are premade when it takes 15 min. To get a table, 10 min to get your order taken and 5 to get your food. Our waitress was really nice, however she forgot the lemon for our water, never asked how the good was, never refilled our water. Brought the bill before dessert was even on the table. Once we had eaten our dessert it took another 10 min for her to come back so we could pay 🤔

Waitress took our order at 4pm and recieved it at 5pm. Quite a long wait for their seasonal dinners.

Got the holiday 1/4 chicken dinner. It was garbage... An the portion size was a joke. Might as well of went to McDonald's for what yea pay for

Not a very happy birthday!Went to Swiss Chalet to celebrate my birthday, Got in and was seated, Then watched people who came in after us, be seated and have their orders taken. Had to complain before anyone even talked to us. We were fed up with the lack of service, so we left. Isn't the first time for this location. I guess we will not be going back there for a VERY LONG TIME.

Cozy seating areas. The side we were on had a TV with sports playing and had a cute wall mounted fake fireplace next to our table. The staff were super friendly and on top of asking if we needed anything else. A loaf came to our table half frozen, they replaced it and did not charge for it. As one staff member walked to the door with us as we were leaving it was nice to have a friendly short conversation as they wished us well while heading out.

The food was good, it didn't take long, and the restaurant was clean.

Prompt service and the food was excellent.

Typical good food but this restaurant was so cold; the air conditioning was still on and its 9ndegrees outside! Hard to enjoy food when it's cold in the restaurant.

Took my daughter's and oldest daughter's boyfriend out to supper last night. Service was amazing! Quick to be served and friendly staff . Only one thing I would change, a mild chicken wing should not burn your lips off .I took a meal home to my husband, along with all my wings which I couldn't eat, and he agreed they were way too hot to be mild. Maybe a new heat scale should be put in place. Next time I'll get sauce on side and maybe be able to taste my meal and enjoy it.

A great little Swiss Chalet; food came at a fast speed and was great too. Did not have to ask for extra sause they gave us a ton! Restuarant was clean and all staff members had masks on. Staff was friendly and quick to answer questions.

Food was good. Traded out their nasty house sauce for their gravy. Much tastierPortions seem smaller than I remember.

Food wasnt bad, but it wasnt the best I have had from Swiss chalet. Garlic parmesan fries were really greasy. And chicken was a little dry

Great soup! The garlic cheese loaf was interesting....smothered in butter, tomato and shallots. Had to eat it with knife and fork. Tasted good though! But not a finger 🍞. 🙃

Food is good but you don't get the serving you should for the price you pay. They are a Boston pizza wannabe and are not successful with is. Staff are not very friendly

Hi there! Went to Swiss Chalet tonight. My chicken was delicious! But...people seated at tables near us were getting asked about different options, like white or whole grain roll, servers describing and recommending side dishes. We didn't get any options. My husband ordered a chi ken rib combo and the ribs were quite fatty. I ordered the Thanksgiving feast (the chicken was perfect) but did not receive any stuffing or cranberries and had to ask for them. The pie was good. But I never did receive the Lindor chocolate though. And I really do love those.

Best Thanksgiving Dinner ever! No cooking, no dishes, and what a great value! We got three of the Thanksgiving specials at just under 14 bucks each, and felt super spoiled with great service. The stuffing, chicken, and cranberry sauce were all awesome, but the little extras like special dipping sauce, bowls of lemon water for cleanup, and Lindor Chocolates are what made for such a great visit... We also loved the biodegradable straws, and you can't beat crown Royal cocktails for just $5👌

Service slow and overpriced for product received

Burnt ribs and fries. Waitress was really friendly though. Hostess wasnt friendly at all.Won't be returning.

Food is decent. But there seems to be a fly problem in the restaurant that has not been addressed. Figure they would set up traps during the night. And the waitress doesent seem to care. About this issue, last thing you need is flies roaming around near your food that your trying to enjoy. That is dispicable.

Good food and good service despite the difficulties at hand.

I have never been this disappointed in a meal at Swiss Chalet. My wife and I ordered the Festive specials (beef and ribs respectively) and our son ordered a pizza and a shirley temple. His drink arrived and it was soda water and grenadine, so we had to send it back. When it was replaced it was correct. When our food arrived, both my ribs and chicken were cold to the touch. Not just warm, but cold. Once again, it was replaced quickly. My wife was very disappointed in her beef as well, as it was very thin and tough. While our server did her best to fix the issues, there was never an offer to reduce the price of anything. All told, our meal that required three replaced items was over $80 with 2 drinks. I can't say I'll be in a hurry to go back to this location.

Not good chicken was dry and some was even burnt. Very Disappointing...

We love love the new crispy chicken at the New Minas location. Great customer service and $11.99 for a delicious meal. And if you happen to have CAA you get a free starter (cheese perogies is our favorite. ) or a free dessert. Yum yum

It was amazing even through all the wait because of the super dinner special you had on today. It was your friendly and attentive staff that made today such a wonderful experience! We are from Bridgewater and grateful for having decided to dine at your restaurant! The special $6.50 quarter chicken dinner delicious! We even took pies as a take out treat for later 😉

Floors were extremely greasy had to ask for a straw 3 times were not greeted when we came in waited 10 minutes for someone to a knowledgeable us and the service was so so

Service was great and they were very friendly and quick. Restaurant was clean for a busy Sunday night. Food was decent but not what it used to be.. lacking in flavour, fries were stuck together in clumps. Don't get me wrong in no way was it awful just lacking a bit.
